  Do a Levada Walk, These are unique, and one of the only ways you will truely see the real Madeira. There are many to choose from so something for everyone.

  Visit Madeira's Gardens. Flowers Flowers everywhere, Madeira has many beautiful gardens. The Botanical, Tropical, Palheiro to name but a few.

So what is there to see and do in Madeira ?

  Do the cable car to Monte, You see great views of the city. I recommend a return trip, around €15. You could come back on a toboggan, don't pay a taxi to get back to Funchal, it is a 10-15 Min walk.

See as much of the Island as you can and the cheapest way is to hire a car, this way you can go at your own pace.

  Cabo Girão, The second highest sea cliff in the world standing at 580 metres is well worth seeing for its views.

  Food and Drink. Eating out can be cheap in Madeira, and here im going to help you avoid Tourist Prices and eat and drink cheaply.

    Madeira is one of the best places in the world to see Whale's & Dolphin's. So a boat trip is a must.

  The Peaks. You can drive up to Pico do Areeiro and will see spectacular views, and if you feel very energetic you can walk the trail to Pico Ruivo. There is also a New Mountain road which takes you from Pico Areeiro to Eira do Serrado.

   So much more. Plenty of Museums. Fish, Fruit and Veg Market (Friday). Diving is Fantastic.  Open Top Bus Tours. Natural Rock Pools of Porto Moniz. Sandy Beaches at Calheta, Machico & Caniçal (Prainha)....

Sunday Market ar Santa Serra is great, seeing all the local fruit, veg and other produce. Try a delicious BBQ chicken and a Bolo do Caco. Have a Poncha and some home-made licours after.

    Madeira on News Years Eve, is something you sholud see at least once. spectacular Fireworks display.
